Site Management – a new Industry Sector is Developing.

  • Since the early 90s a profound structural change has taken place in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, resulting in changed corporate landscapes
  • Globalisation has led to a continuous restructuring process. Strategies have become more focussed
    - Focus on fewer businesses
    - Focus on core competencies
    - Divestments of out-of-focus businesses
    - Outsourcing of non-core activities to Service Providers
  • This resulted in traditional firms breaking up into several independent companies on the same site
